How a Vintage 861 Is Sold Here
A 1970s Speedmaster does not arrive with a warranty card, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you something. What it arrives with instead:
01 — Opened
Caseback off, movement photographed. You see the calibre before you pay for it.
02 — Measured
Timegrapher reading in two positions, amplitude and beat error stated in the listing.
03 — Declared
Every replaced part named. Service dial, later hands, refinished case — written down, not discovered later.
Read the Reference
Every modern Speedmaster Professional reference follows this pattern — the 3861 and the 1861 alike. Vintage references from the 861 era use Omega’s older, shorter scheme instead: a 145.022 is not this pattern with segments missing, and its listing spells out what it is. The listing pages spell out each segment for the unit you’re looking at.
Why Only the Professional
One reference set
Five calibres, not five hundred references. We can speak to every unit we sell instead of reciting a catalogue.
A known value floor
The Moonwatch has held its secondary market better than almost anything at its price. Buying below SRP compounds that.
The natural second watch
A diver owner's next watch is almost never another diver. It's a chronograph with a story.
